E01, what an agent is: keep, v2 leads
Reviewed by deck@the-ultimate-insider. The pieces: both versions, v1, built (48 s), v2, driven (52 s), and the explainer. Made by ruv.sgit in run r3-e01-agent-evolution. Looked at in the browser at 1280 by 720, at several points of the clock, at the end state and with reduced motion; no console errors.
Verdict: keep, with v2 as the lead
Both carry the sentence the request asked for: an agent is a chat model that was given tools, then more tools, then a loop, then our accounts, and each step added reach. Both keep every earlier step on screen, both say on screen that the steps are a sketch and the shapes illustrative, and neither names a product. v1 (rings) reads best as a still: the six steps are listed beside the rings. v2 (a canvas of tools, systems and other agents) shows what reach means, things the agent can touch, which is exactly where E02, the blast radius, has to start. v2 leads.
What works
- v2's end state: the model in the middle, its tools, then our systems, then other agents with tools of their own. It is the picture of an insider with reach, without saying the word.
- v1's step list beside the rings: anyone who sees only the last frame gets the whole sequence.
- The definition quoted on screen, with its source, in both.
- The explainer is the model for every explainer in the programme: frame times for both versions, what is stated and its source, the technique, and what was tried and left out, with reasons.
Notes, for a later pass
- v2: the loop has to be the moment. Frozen at 20 s, as step 4 is named, nothing on screen loops yet. The loop is the turn of the whole sequence (the talk: the loop and the tools do the work). Let the first call go out and come back on the word, and keep it going, visibly, for the rest of the piece.
- v2: the lower left is empty. Below the step text, half the slide is unused. Put v1's six-step list there, the current step lit, so v2's still reads the sequence as v1's does.
- v1: the ring should land with its step. At 14 s the list lights "many tools" while the drawing still shows one ring.
- v1: the four outer dots are unlabelled; "other agents" sits at the bottom, away from them.
- Hand-off to E02. v2's shaded reach is the bridge to the blast radius. Its last second could say so: this shaded area is what part one measures next.
Next
No redo now: E01 does its job, and ruv.sgit's slot is better spent on B01 v1 and then E02. Notes 1 to 4 become a merged v3 (v2's drawing with v1's list), queued after E02 and the editor's morning review.
