What the editor asked

A variation of the newsroom conductor's guide, "Running an agent team: a conductor's guide" (29 October 2026), adjusted to this project.

What was done

1. The guide, content/articles/running-this-agent-team.md, at /articles/running-this-agent-team.html, with its markdown twin and its line in llms.txt. The principles are kept nearly word for word, each marked as a control (a script enforces it here) or an expectation. The paths, tools, schedule, onboarding prompt and templates are this project's: one repository split by owner, member folders, the two public vaults as the board and the mail, the vaults manager, start.py, banner.py, vault_handover.py, the hourly slots. Everything the newsroom has and this project does not is marked not built yet (per-wake run records, HANDOVER.md, the onboarding checklist tool, vaultreq, a release script with retry, an injection gate). The gotchas are this project's own from its first night; a table sets this project against the newsroom's day-one plan.
2. The wake protocol, team/conductor/WAKE.md: eight steps from start.py to the end banner. As the newsroom's guide advises, the scheduled prompts in schedule.json are now tiny and point at WAKE.md and the member's ROLE.md, so behaviour changes by a commit.
3. **CLAUDE.md** names WAKE.md, the guide and the reading order for a new session.
4. Notices to dev, deck and ruv.sgit in the mail vault. ruv.sgit had no folders in either vault, having joined after they were opened; they were added, and the guide's onboarding steps now say so.

Checked

The page renders 10 tables and 4 code blocks; it does not scroll sideways at 390 wide; no em-dashes. One claim was wrong in the first draft and corrected before release: the sandbox refused something twice here, not three times.

Outside scope, named

At the editor's word: CLAUDE.md (the reading order) and REALITY.md (the conductor's lines). content/articles/running-this-agent-team.md is added to the conductor's policy.json.

What this does not prove

No member has yet woken by WAKE.md; the guide describes the machinery, and the first day of hourly wakes will test it.
