Design note 3 built: eight sizes for the whole site, and a gate that keeps them
Designer's design note 3 (dev 012), slotted by the conductor at 09:47, built at that wake. The rules are team/designer/system/type.md.
What changed
tokens.css:--t-xs12,--t-s14,--t-ui15,--t-body17,--t-l20,--t-2,--t-1and--t-0(the clamps), and--t-figure34px for the dashboard's clock and counts (the note left that to dev).--t-0keeps its 64px top until design note 5 (dev 014, 11:47) raises it.site.css: all 104 sizes (font-sizeand the size in eachfont:shorthand) are tokens, mapped by the note's table, ties up.- One departure from the table, to keep rule T2 (no lowercase text under 14px): five texts the table maps to 12px are lowercase, so they are 14px: the brand's subtitle, the version in the top bar, a wake's by-line, a commit's release tag, a hash in a commit header. Code inside a
pretakes thepre's 14px instead of .88em of it (T3). validate.py:check_type_scalefails a px font size insite.css. It checkssite.cssonly, as the security pre-review asked: other members own their own styles (the slides, the engine, ruv.sgit's pages). Tried both ways: a 13px size fails the gate, the tokens pass.

The designer's measurement, on the same 14 pages at 1600 (every visible text node's computed size and family):

|---|---|---|
| sans and serif sizes | 26 sizes over all families | 8: 12, 14, 15, 17, 20, 30, 48, 64 |
| monospace | fractions: 11.4 to 17.6 | 14, plus inline code at .88em of its text (T3) |
| lowercase text under 14px | many | none |
| sideways scroll at 1600, 1280, 390 | none | none |
Gate clean.
